Privacy Policy
1. Who this covers
This policy explains how Alwina Oyewoleturner (“I,” “me”) handles personal information when you visit alwinaoyewoleturner.com, buy a service, email me, or work with me. I’m a one-person business based in New York, USA.
2. What I collect
- From you: your name, email address, and anything you write in emails to me; voice memos you send for Brain Dump to Plan and everything you say in them; for consulting, business details, website and account information, and any access credentials you choose to share; and booking details when you schedule a call through my calendar link.
- From payments: Stripe processes your payment. I receive confirmation details such as your name, email, amount, date, and sometimes card brand and last four digits. I never receive or store your full card number.
- Automatically: My site is hosted on Netlify. As a routine part of serving the site, Netlify receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. I don’t currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site.
3. Your voice memos and emails
I treat these as personal and sensitive. People often mention health, family, money, or work stress in a brain dump, and that’s fine.
- Use: I listen to your memo and read your emails only to write your plan, answer your questions, and send your check-in.
- AI tools: I use the native iPhone Voice Memo app to transcribe your memo and may use Claude as a backup. I use settings or plans where the provider doesn’t use your content to train its models, where that option is available. I personally review everything I send you.
- Retention: I delete your voice memo and any transcript 30 days after I deliver your plan. I keep the plan and our email thread for 2 years so I can answer follow-up questions, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
- Never: I don’t sell your memo, share it for marketing, publish it, or use it as a testimonial without your written permission.
- Please: Skip other people’s sensitive details unless needed, and don’t include passwords, Social Security numbers, or financial account numbers.
4. How I use information
To deliver the services you buy and communicate about them; to process payments and refunds and keep business, tax, and accounting records; to keep my site and accounts secure and prevent fraud; to meet legal obligations and enforce my Terms; and to send occasional updates only if you opt in (unsubscribe any time).
5. Who I share it with
Only service providers who help me run the business, and only what they need: Stripe (payments; see stripe.com/privacy), Google Workspace (email and file storage), Google Calendar (booking calls), Netlify (website hosting), and iPhone Voice Memos/Claude.ai. I may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of transferring my business (you’d be notified).
6. I don’t sell your data
I don’t sell or rent your personal information, and I don’t share it for targeted advertising.
7. Cookies
This site doesn’t set its own cookies. Third-party pages I link to, like Stripe checkout and Google Calendar, may use their own cookies under their own policies.
8. How long I keep things
- Voice memos and transcripts: 30 days after your plan is delivered.
- Plans and client emails: 2 years after the service ends, unless you ask for earlier deletion.
- Consulting credentials and files: credentials deleted or handed back when the engagement ends; project files kept 2 years.
- Payment and tax records: as long as tax law requires, typically up to 7 years.
9. Security
I use reasonable safeguards for a small business, including two-factor authentication, access limited to me, encrypted devices, and secure deletion. No system is perfect. If a breach affects your personal information, I’ll notify you as the law requires.
10. Your choices
You can ask me to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you updates. Email alwina@alwinaoyewoleturner.com and I’ll respond within 30 days. I may keep records the law requires, such as payment records. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s law, and I’ll honor them.
11. Age, location, and changes
My services are for adults 18 and older, and I don’t knowingly collect information from children. I’m based in the US, and my service providers may store information in the US or other countries. If I update this policy, I’ll change the “Last updated” date and email active clients about significant changes.
